These SL-SF 50-foot automobile boxcars were built by General American starting in June 1930 and numbered in the 152600-152899 series. 300 cars are listed in the 1934 ORER. These cars had Youngstown double side doors for the 12-foot door opening. The B-end was steel Dreadnaught with a 3/3/3 configuration while the A-end had a steel door of Dreadnaught design.

This mini-kit includes the following:

  • Resin detail parts
  • Custom decals covering renumbering for the prototype number series

The modeler will need to supply the base model, a Roundhouse 50-foot, single-sheathed automobile box car that has a radial roof and end doors; stirrups; assorted wire sizes and grabs; and all other parts to create a finished model.

Resin Car Works would like to thank the following rail historians and modelers for their high quality work. Without their efforts, these kits would not have been produced.

Tom Madden - for his casting work
Ken Soroos - decal art
